Deep Tech Awards 2019: The winners are revealed

In taking their decision to choose the Deep Tech Stars, the expert jury consisting of members from industry and science assessed, among other things, the degree of innovation, unique characteristics of the submitted solutions and the benefits and added value from the user’s perspective and for the Berlin ICT market. The following software and hardware solutions submitted by companies from Berlin were awarded 10,000 Euros each:

  • Audatic GmbH
    With the help of Deep Learning, the young Berlin company has developed a software, which will improve the everyday life of over 60 million people using hearing aids.

  • GESTALT Robotics GmbH
    Die GESTALT Robotics is a provider of tailor-made software development working at the interface of automation and artificial intelligence (AI).

  • Industrial Analytics
    With their product TurboMonitor the team of Industrial Analytics makes a strong contribution to the automation of industrial facilities and reduction of production costs as well as downtime in the chemical, oil and gas industries, refineries and power plants.

  • mediaire GmbH
    The Berlin company mediaire GmbH develops an AI-based diagnosis report system for neurodegenerative diseases. The software provides radiologists instant processing of all relevant image data and subsequent diagnosis.

  • SmartCloudFarming GmbH (SCF)
    SCF develops their cloud-based AI – SoilEye – to generate 3-D soil maps for characterisation of farmland.

  • Visualix
    The Visualix End-to-End-AR platform allows companies to create applications for robust AR on an industrial scale.

  • The Deep Tech Award is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and is endowed with EUR 60,000. The "Deep Tech Stars" were presented at the award ceremony by Christian Rickerts, Secretary at the Senate Department for Economics, Energy and Public Enterprises fand the SIBB chairmen Thomas Schröter and Dirk Stocksmeier at Beta Systems Software AG in Berlin.
