Typical examples of eligible projects include external design work and consulting services as well as project and design management for new or modified products, and services and production procedures.

Receiving funding for the second time now is Berlin-based company <link https://www.shoutrlabs.com/>shoutr labs</link>, who have developed a product which transfers interactive content via its shoutr.Boxx system to mobile devices located in buildings or outside. For instance, the app enables museum visitors to access videos with large bandwidth without having to tap into their own data volumes. The company is using the funding to revise the app design. 70 percent of the costs are eligible for reimbursement. Funded projects have to be finalised within six months.

“We have benefited greatly from Design Transfer Bonus. The process is efficient and has really helped us as a startup to implement important design tasks together with external experts,” Sebastian Winkler, managing director at shoutr-labs, says. In 2016, shoutr was awarded the <link http://www.innovationspreis-bb.de/>Innovationspreis Berlin Brandenburg</link>. Receiving the award has already had a positive effect on the company, in particular with regard to external perception and marketing.
