Berlin: Innovative solutions and products in the race for Deep Tech Award 2016
The awards recognise application-oriented and tested solutions and products in the field of “Internet of Things” (IoT) that are characterised by a high degree of innovation and great potential for the future. The deadline for entries is 20 October 2016. The award is particularly aimed at small and medium-sized enterprises with headquarters in Berlin. This year, the cash reward has been increased once again, amounting to 60,000 euros in total, and will be paid to at least three competitors. The Deep Tech Awards ceremony will be taking place on 9 November 2016 in Berlin.
Entries can include application-oriented and tested solutions and products in the field of hardware and system-related software such as:
- devices
- sensors & actuators
- networks (low-power/short-range, low-power/wide-area)
- processes & architectures
- operating systems
- platforms
- device management (device monitoring, firmware & software updates, diagnostics, error analysis & reporting, physical management & security management)
- analytical tools, algorithms, event stream processing and analysis models
- standards and APIs
- security technologies for devices, operating systems, platforms & communication paths
The competition entries will be assessed by an independent jury of top-level experts. The jury will base its decision on criteria such as degree of innovation of the products, potential unique features, benefits and added value for users as well as market potential, data safety and data security concept and design, where applicable.
