Matchmaking dinner advertising meets business
Matchmaking dinner advertising meets business
For the third time already, the Senate Department for the Economy, Energy and Public Enterprises and media:net, brought together business representatives and the creators of the marketing and advertising industry with the successful format "Creative Dinner Berlin".
More than 80 guests took part in the exclusive matchmaking at the Volt restaurant in Kreuzberg on Monday, July 10th. First contacts could be made before the first course with a glass of sparkling wine. Afterwards, the established dinner format offered the greatest possible contacts by changing the table neighbors several times.
At the beginning of the dinner, Andrea Peters (media:net berlinbrandenburg e. V.) and Ramona Pop, mayor and senator for Economics, Energy and Public Enterprises welcomed the guests in Berlin. Miss Pop highlighted the significance, which the Berlin agency scene has worked for in recent years. Berlin is a heart chamber of the online-advertisement industry and the location for many successful agencies of the marketing communication. Brand identity and digital marketing shape the advertising scene of Berlin. No other agency scene in Germany has developed this drastically in recent years. More than 4.200 advertising companies generated annually around 1,5 million euros and employ around 25.000 employees in Berlin. Since 2012, the numbers of jobs raised by 20 percent and the revenue sales raised by 12 percent. The digital transformation is a main topics of the agencies.
The range of diverse companies and agencies, which settled down in Berlin, is huge: full-service-agencies, traditional houses, marketing startups and digital agencies add to the European advertising scene.
Berlin was able to retract itself from the dominant marketing-centre Hamburg and became an attractive hub for the creative and marketing industry. Berlin-based companies were able to profit from the rapidly growing digital industry. Thanks to the input of creative minds, startups and established innovation companies can generate an efficient added value for themselves and their clients.
Peter Skulimma, CEO of Exozet, held the dinner speech. The keys to success for the digital transformation are a willingness to change within the organisation, an error-tolerant culture, freedom for employees, plus a change of perspective leaning towards the users and clients is needed. Furthermore, he advised to form digital goals and to not want to develop the perfect strategy but to simply start and offer room for experiments. As a starting point, he recommended starting with a digital Fitness Check as a company or organisation.
