Already for the tenth time, Berlin Showroom has opened its doors in the course of the Paris Fashion Week this autumn. Eleven selected fashion labels from Berlin presented their current spring/summer collections 2018 for the Paris Fashion Week in the Berlin Showroom. For the first time, the Berlin based shared platform, which is funded by the initializer programme of the Senate Department for Economics, Energy and Public Enterprises / Projekt Zukunft, has collaborated with Austria and Switzerland in the frame of a joint DACH (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) showroom. Overall, 25 labels from the German-speaking regions were presented at the joint DACH showroom.
International buyers and press representatives have visited the joint format and convinced themselves of the innovative women's wear collections of the Berlin based fashion labels in the centrally located Robert Dodd showroom in Marais, Paris. The portfolio comprised both already established labels such as Hien Le and Vladimir Karaleev and newcomers such as Last Heirs, who are making their debut with their first collection in Paris. Furthermore, this season the jury selected Agnes Nordenholz, Hänska, Penelope’s Sphere, Projekt Samsen, Quite Quiet, Schmidttakahashi, Starstyling and Tata Christiane for the group presentation.
Among the 85 international buyers were renowned stores such as <link>10 Corso Como (Mailand</link>), Galeries Lafayette (Peking), Opening Ceremony NY (N.Y.), Totokaelo (N.Y) and Voo Store (Berlin).

The debut of the DACH platform in Paris was visited by international press and industry representatives. Inter alia Glamour Germany, Grazia France, Harper’s Bazaar Deutschland, NZZ as well as Vogue’s German edition convinced themselves on site of the quality of the collections from Berlin. The next Berlin Showroom will take place in spring 2018 in the course of the Paris Fashion Week.
Berlin Showroom was initiated by Projekt Zukunft/Senate Department for Economics, Energy and Public Enterprises. It receives most of its funding from the "Programm für Internationalisierung" (programme for internationalisation) as well as from ERDF funds. The joint presentation is implemented by IDZ Designpartner Berlin GmbH in cooperation with PR agency Arne Eberle press+sales as well as the Landesinitiative Projekt Zukunft.
