IEEE Conference on Standards for Communications and Networking (CSCN), from 31 October to 2 November 2016
<link http://cscn2016.ieee-cscn.org/ - external-link-new-window "Opens internal link in current window">IEEE CSCN conference </link>offers a close-knit technical programme on the future of mobile communications systems consisting of four top-class opening speeches, two discussion rounds as well as 12 technical sessions. The sessions are based on technical articles that have been selected by an international jury of standardisation experts from the worlds of industry and science.
IEEE 5G Summit on 2 November 2016
<link http://www.5gsummit.org/berlin - external-link-new-window "Opens internal link in current window">IEEE 5G Summit</link> offers a close-knit technical programme on the future of mobile communications systems featuring four high-level industry representatives speaking on the issues of internet of things, cyber security and 5G.
As part of the opening session, the Senate Department for Economics, Technology and Research will introduce the Initiative on 5G technology in Berlin.
FOKUS FUSECO Forum on 3 and 4 November
At the seventh <link http://www.fuseco-forum.org/ - external-link-new-window "Opens internal link in current window">FUSECO Forum </link>(Future Seamless Communication) presented by the Fraunhofer Institute FOKUS around 250 telecommunications experts from all over the world will meet in order to talk about the latest developments in the areas of 5G and internet of things. This will take place in the form of talks, discussion rounds, workshops and technical tutorials. During live demonstrations initial applications will be presented to an international audience; these applications include Massive MIMO and 5G Ready Trail Platform - which has been developed as part of the Initiative on 5G technology in Berlin together with the Senate Department for Economics, Technology and Research.
At the end of the last day of Berlin 5G Week the industry will come together for a networking event at Ballhaus in Chausseestraße. Berlin-based startups working in the 5G area will introduce themselves to an international audience during elevator pitches.
