Connected innovators: CUBE is seeking global ecosystem
The Berlin-based company intends to create a global ecosystem for innovative and disruptive business models in key industries. Highlight will be the CUBE Tech Fair, taking place from 10 to 12 May 2017 in CityCube Berlin. At the trade fair, the winner of CUBE Challenge – a startup competition with a cash prize in the amount of 1 million euros – will be determined.
For some time now, collaborations between startups and large corporations have been an important tool in order to promote technological innovation. Torsten Oelke, Executive Chairman at CUBE, now intends to connect innovators in the fields of digital health, mechanical production and infrastructure on a global level: “As an ecosystem, we will provide the interface between the various starting points of current global innovations, connecting startups, institutions and key industries.”
“Bringing together the right actors”
CUBE has partnered up with industrial enterprises such as Bayer and Volkswagen as well as Messe Berlin. Martin Hofmann, CIO at Volkswagen, stresses the “demand of industrial enterprises for a platform that brings them together with startups”. “We are convinced that CUBE can identify ideas that will change the future and bring together the right actors, turning ideas into products and solutions,” Hofmann says.
