Needs-based approach for internationalisation programme - survey on the advancement of Berlin's foreign trade concept
For nearly 20 years now the Senate Department for Economics, Technology and Research, including through its own "Projekt Zukunft" initiative, has been helping companies network, grow and tap into new markets both domestically and abroad. Every year, 15 to 20 joint presentations are held by Berlin-based companies - all part of the Cluster ICT, Media and Creative Industries - with benefits for all sectors, ranging from music, fashion, design, through art and digital marketing, to games and IT.
Successful presentations abroad include the Berlin Showroom in Paris which is taking place twice a year and acts as a platform for Berlin-based designers to present their collections to international purchasers and media representatives.
Also, with its joint stand both at gamescom, Europe's most important games trade fair, and dmexco, the leading trade fair for digital marketing, the Senate Department for Economics, Technology and Research, together with partners such as medianet, provides growing companies with a platform to present their concepts to an international professional audience and to strengthen Berlin as a location for innovation.
The aim of the survey for advancement of Berlin's foreign trade concept, which will be accessible for companies until the beginning of June, is to improve the efficiency of the city’s internationalisation programme, to adapt funding offers to suit the individual needs of companies and to initiate new funding programmes, where necessary. This will be achieved by assessing the funding tools and needs of Berlin-based companies.
Are you satisfied as an entrepreneur or company? Is there a need for funding? Where is your company headed in the future? We are looking forward to hearing your ideas to further improve our funding offers and those of our partners.
