24 startups and around 16 leading investors have been invited to take part in the 13th issue of the Investor’s Dinner and enjoy an exclusive three-course menu in a confidential atmosphere. The seating arrangement at the event provides that venture capital providers sit opposite startup founders. After each course seats are swapped in order to enable founders to pitch their startup to as many investors as possible.

The event is primarily aimed at innovative startups working in the online, mobile, games and media industries with significant potential for growth who are looking for venture capital. To be considered for participation, interested startups are asked to send their application file and company profile consisting of no more than one page to <link investorsdinner@medianet-bb.de>investorsdinner@medianet-bb.de</link> until 10 March.

Already, some startups have been able to attract venture capital during the first twelve Investors’s Dinners taking place between May 2011 and November 2016. These include Adspert Programmatic Display, iversity Learning Solutions GmbH, Mymoria GmbH and Softgames Mobile Entertainment Services GmbH. Other startups have been able to establish valuable contacts.

In 2014, Softgames Mobile Entertainment Services GmbH had already been granted funding by IBB VC Fond Kreativ as part of the event „<link http://www.berlin.de/projektzukunft/ikt-wirtschaft/innovationsstrategien/artikel/rueckblick-finanzierungsstrategien-fuer-die-games-und-interactive-branche/>Financing aimed at the games and interactive industries</link>“ which had been organised by the Senate Department for Economics, Energy and Public Enterprises.

Through its ‘Projekt Zukunft’ state initiative, the Senate Department for Economics, Energy and Public Enterprises helps connect startups with venture capital providers and strategic partners using similar matchmaking formats. As part of the “Lange Nacht der Startups 2015” alone, Projekt Zukunft managed to connect investors, medium-sized companies and representatives of established companies with a large number of Berlin-based startups. Other events are scheduled to follow.
