Starting at 5.30 pm with a tour through the new SAP offices on multiple floors, Jens Krüger as the Executive Director and Senator Cornelia Yzer will officially welcome the guests. From 6.45 pm, Saskia Esken, SPD Member of the German Bundestag in the Committee on the Digital Agenda, management consultant Thomas Staller, business angel Rouven Dresselhaus as well as Professor Ulrich Weinberg, Head of School of Design Thinking at Hasso Plattner, will talk about the startup scene in Germany and critically discuss the current start-up hype in Berlin. More than any other city in Europe, Berlin is said to be a startup heaven, however only a few founders make it big.

Regardless of this, SAP, with its new office at Münzstraße, which is part of a bigger German-wide investment programme, is sending out a clear signal of the increasing relevance of the Berlin-based startup ecosystem. Already this autumn a second additional location is to be launched in Berlin-Mitte. "In hardly any other German metropolis there is such a lively dialogue between economy, politics and the public as is the case in Berlin. A blooming start-up scene, cultural diversity, history and present age close together," SAP commented. The aim was "to create innovative solutions for the challenges of our time together with creative talents and intelligent minds". The future looks set for growth.
