The <link http://www.miz-babelsberg.de/innovationsfoerderung-fuer-studierende-und-start-ups>MIZ Innovationsförderung</link> has a budget of up to 30,000 euros per project. Selected projects are scheduled to start at the beginning of April.

Applications may be submitted by students up to three after the end of their studies and startups that have been founded no longer than three years ago. Those wishing to supply are asked to submit a project outline of no more than three pages until 22 January. Selection criteria include innovation value and strong relation to broadcasting, in particular. As part of their projects, scholarship holders are welcome to use the radio and TV studios and cutting and production facilities at the Medieninnovationszentrum Babelsberg (MIZ) and will receive guidance from selected mentors.

This year, projects will be selected for funding on four different dates. There will be an information event at MIZ Babelsberg on 17 January starting at 6pm. Those interested may register using the <link http://www.miz-babelsberg.de/kalender?day=20170117>online calender</link>. The projects currently receiving funding are Madam, an open source solution for automated data conversion and copyrights management, and H-EAR, the first geo-based hearing game, according to the company's own information.
